From the beginning of time music has been a way for people of all different backgrounds to express and enjoy themselves. From the most primitive instruments to the extremely technologically advanced studios we have to today. Music and the production of that music has evolved immensely. Whether the music is about social and economic oppression, political beliefs or just a way for one to express their creative thoughts music has been the backbone of many lives and societies. Obviously, music has changed immensely over the past thousand years, however, in recent times we are seeing more innovation and have even more ways to consume this spectacular art form. The technological boom which has been going on recently allows even the most common of folk to be in the know-how of everything going on in our crazy world. While knowing every little thing, both good and bad, that is going on in the world can be scary it has given musicians so much to talk about in their music. There are so many more genres of music which are popular than ever before which is great for music connoisseurs. Now while this is all fine and dandy the best thing this same technological boom has allowed us is the ability to consume all these great genres of music wherever we are whenever we please. Things such as Youtube and Spotify have allowed us to stay connected to all the music our favorite artists are releasing the second it happens. Not only have these avenues changed how we can consume music through these specific applications, but they have also changed how music can be viewed in a live setting. Music venues across the globe have completely embraced the digital age which we can see in stage design and all the festivals which pop up daily. For the lover of this art form, it is truly a blessing we can be a part of one of the most innovative spurs for music in recent memory.
